Lake Condominiums Big Sky is 55-unit vacation/timeshare ownership property located on the shores of Lake Levinksy at the base of Lone Mountain in Big Sky, Montana. Since 1984 the Lake Condominium Owners Assocation has provided owners access to all Big Sky has to offer and a short drive from Yellowstone National Park. Lake Condos provides owners and guests with a home away from home with condos that boast 2bd/2ba, fireplaces, full kitchen and patios overlooking the Lake and Lone Peak. The property offers owners and guests a swimming pool complex with hot tubs and with access to Big Sky Resort with ticket access to ski lifts, hiking trails, mountain biking, zip-lining, and world-class restaurants. Our location is ideal for any outdoor adventurer. Big Sky is located midway between Bozeman, MT. and West Yellowstone, MT.

Position is located in BIG SKY, MONTANA and Reports to the General Manager

Job Type: Full-time, year-round

Compensation Details

· Annual Salary: Annual Base Salary - $60K - $72K

Housing Allowance - At this time, Lake Condominiums is not able to offer full time housing as part of the compensation package. However, we are able to offer a first year Housing Allowance as additional option, if required.

Job Description Overview

  • Manages, supervises, develops and maintains an ongoing maintenance for resort hotel type operation including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, preventive maintenance, condo units, heating units, ice, swimming pools, hot tubs, lighting, kitchen equipment, water heaters, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc.
  • Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training department employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Managing building projects including exterior and interior renovations and upgrades, handling maintenance and repairs on building structures and equipment.
  • Coordinates and oversees snow removal vendor requirements and assists in snow removal from walkways, stairways, etc.
  • On an ongoing and regular basis, inspects and evaluates physical condition of entire property, including all guestrooms, public areas and pool areas.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Responsible for planning and executing preventative maintenance program for facilities, vehicles and mechanical systems throughout the property.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor all maintenance policies and procedures, daily-weekly-monthly task lists, inspections, schedules and maintain logs, records and reports for the General Manager.
  • Capital Improvement Projects: Provides on-site project management of capital improvement projects, coordinating general contractors, vendors, budgets, etc. Works with General Manager throughout the property to develop proposals for preparation of annual Capital Budget.
  • Must be able to work independently, have proven leadership skills and be able to train staff on safety and emergency procedures.
  • Reliable and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • On occasion be consulted by telephone and/or called in to work on short notice in response to emergency and/or urgent conditions at the property or a staffing shortage.
  • Ensures all maintenance staff receives adequate training on established maintenance procedures and safety.

· The maintenance manager must be able to perform all required maintenance technician requirements including but not limited to, snow removal, climbing stairs, lifting, pulling, climbing ladders Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment and all required tools specific to or required for maintenance of the property.

Experience/Knowledge/Certifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in maintenance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Maintenance Department management experience at a property or resort of similar size. Similar and/or related experience may be considered.
  • Must have experience with remodeling projects.
  • Building/facility maintenance knowledge, common accepted industry practices pertaining to maintenance, knowledge of budgeting and project planning, and trouble-shooting ability with skills in electric, painting, carpentry, landscaping, equipment, pools/hot tubs and hands-on tool usage.
  • Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO) is requiredCertification may be obtained after hire within 6 months.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
