POSITION
SUMMARY:
The primary job function of the Facilities Manager is to contribute to the overall fiscal health of our community by executing repairs and effect preventative maintenance programs throughout the community. The Facilities Manager is responsible for the general maintenance of our building(s) to include the proper operation, general condition and safety of them also. This includes, but is not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). This is a hands-on working management position.

Schedule:
Full Time - Monday through Friday - benefits eligible upon first date of employment

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and partner with the maintenance team, paying close attention to the overall aesthetic appearance of the facilities, including interiors and exteriors of the building and apartments (as well as common areas)
  • Interact with residents daily and respond timely to maintenance requests providing exceptional customer service
  • Continuous touchup painting, patching of walls, scraping, sanding, priming and taping areas to be painted; snow removal from the surrounding grounds and working in inclement weather

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS REQUIRED
:

  • Possess general knowledge and experience of preventative maintenance, general repairs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting in a professional setting preferred
  • Proven successful management of a team to achieve common goals
  • 2-4 years of management experience preferred
  • Current EPA/CFC certification
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments and management to continuously improve quality and overall experience for our customers
  • Ability to work on weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
  • Ability to work with seniors and individuals with dementia periodically
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer focus treating all customers with respect and integrity
