We are searching for an experienced Manual Machine Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machine tools to create precision instruments and parts. Primary Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, and maintain shop machinery.
• Fabricate and modify parts to repair or create machine tools and maintain industrial machines.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, machines and materials onto machines.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Measure, examine and test completed units for defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on shop equipment, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in machining and fabrication using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders.
• Ability to calculate dimensions and tolerance using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and veneer calipers.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance according to published guidelines.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals.
