Machine Operator

Reporting line(s) Reports to: Production Foreman-Senior Production Supervisor

The Fabrication Machine Operator is responsible for the following:

  • Preparing metal tubes, bars, and other materials and staging them for the next operation (which is performed by Fabrication/Welding).
  • Running machines such as bandsaw, tube cutters, deburr, resizing dies, metal benders, Perforator, Laser, Robot, CNC, etc., at a level I expectancy.
  • Perform level I Cippa machine programs.
  • Measuring, cutting, deburring, and staging of Raw materials as per our manufacturing processes and instructions, using Manufacturing jigs per instructions.
  • Executing all work assigned in a timely and accurate manner against time and quality standards
  • Ensuring that orders are fulfilled with 100% accuracy and with minimal scrap.
  • Perform Daily TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) reviews for all assigned equipment, Clean area, machines, etc.
  • Provide input and ideas for continuous improvements that can be made in process, equipment, or tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Beyond the normal activities as covered above, the Fabrication Machine Operator is also responsible for the following:

  • AWE Tuning event attendance and working as needed
  • Being a leader by example of our core values
  • Maintaining an on-brand and tidy work environment
  • Time Tracking clocking in and out.
  • Attendance clock in and out, including lunch break (30 minutes).

Accountabilities

The success of the role will be based upon a mix of the following:

  • Becoming proficient with MES
  • Complete training to level I expectations
  • Quality and accuracy of work, as measured by your Supervisor.
  • The volume of work, as dictated and measured by your Supervisor.
  • Adherence to the employee handbook and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • 0 – 2 years of metal fabrication experience
  • Proficient in measuring, cutting,
  • Experience in deburring and staging of raw materials preferred

We're hiring for a day shift. We work a 5-day/8 hr schedule.

Machine Operator I and Machine Operator II positions. The level we offer someone will depend on a candidate's skills and experience. Below are the pay ranges for each position which would also be dependent on a candidate's skills and experiences.

  • Machine Operator I level: $17.50- $18.50
  • Machine Operator II level: $19.50- $20.50
