We are currently looking for someone to fill a full-time position as Retail Manager at our Wareham, MA location.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining best customer service practices by overseeing, and being accountable for, the operation of the entire store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising, inventory and expense control, human resources management, and by managing operating costs. This position works in conjunction with the Finetco management team and reports directly to the Controller of Finetco. We offer both competitive compensation and benefits packages.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment, which includes greeting customers, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
  • Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives
  • Oversee routine maintenance and repairs of vehicle fleet including commercial and employee company vehicles.
  • Control shrink, expenses and employee time management.
  • Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing, and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked.
  • Review department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives.
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs related to facility systems and appearance.
  • Create and implement new policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-throughs and audits, etc.
  • Continually evaluate and react to performance issues. Actively recruit, vet, and interview new hire candidates.
  • Train and develop store management in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, accounting or similar (preferred).
  • Experience in and proven knowledge of the building supply industry with proven track record of performance.
  • Firm grasp of management skills and tactics.
  • Customer/Client Focus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • At least two years of experience in management, finance, sales, or relevant business role.

Schedule

  • Full day time position
  • Monday to Friday 7 am to 5pm and Saturday 8 am to 12pm.
