POSITION SUMMARY

Assist management with training Loan Admins during onboarding of new hires and on-going implementations. Visit regional offices for support and supplemental coaching opportunities, as well as launching new systems and compliance requirements. Host regular communications to educate teammates and ensure issues are resolved within a timely manner.

When needed, accurately prepare loan documentation packages for Commercial and Consumer loans, transmit requests to the Lending Team within a timely manner. Support regulations for all loan product types, including Consumer Real Estate (TRID) and provide the services of a gatekeeper for the Bank’s Credit Policy.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide effective and efficient preparation of loan documents.
  • Ensure all loan packages transmitted are complete and accurate, following all Bank and industry guidelines.
  • Support telephone and email inquiries from Lending Teams. Respond in a prompt, efficient manner providing professional and courteous service.
  • Work with the Lending Team to upload all documents needed to create the loan package and disclosures.
  • Back up other members of Document Services to ensure the department meets its objectives to promptly address loan documentation requests.
  • Review loan packages created by attorneys for various loan types and external Letters of Credit.
  • Verify loan document procedures are accurate and maintenance frequently.
  • Learn the Loan Admin function outside of Loan Operations.
  • Update the Loan Admin Training Guide and continue to build out resource material.
  • Onboard Loan Admins during the first few weeks of joining the team and meet with regional teams during the year for continuing education and best practices.
  • Host the Loan Admin conference call and gather information from multiple resources for content.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Loan Specialist 1

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 to 2 years banking or loan operations experience.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way when communicating with clients and other team members.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy; recognize and question procedure deviations that may indicate special handling is required.
  • Independent, proactive, and goal focused. Self-motivated, multi-tasking and team player, with desire to promote a collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose challenges and provide viable resolutions.

BENEFICIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Loan Specialist II

Additional requirements:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years banking or loan operations experience.
  • Subject matter expert within core position.

Loan Specialist III

Additional requirements:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years banking or loan operations experience.
  • Subject matter expert within core position, provides leadership.
  • Competency in multiple loan operations functions.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • This position must be able to sit for long periods of time as the position involves the majority of time spent at a computer.
  • This position requires little to no travel.
