The Loan Officer Assistant position supports one or more Loan Officers by ensuring loan files are complete and loans close as scheduled. Supports the marketing activities of the assigned loan officers and provides administrative support.

*** MUST BE LOCATED IN THE ATLANTA AREA AND BE WILLING TO COME INTO THE OFFICE 2 TO 3 TIMES PER WEEK **

Compensation:

$24,000 - $48,000 yearly + bonuses

Responsibilities:

  • The Loan Officer Assistant position supports one or more Loan Officers by ensuring loan files are complete and loans close as scheduled
  • Supports the marketing activities of the assigned loan officers and provides administrative support
  • Assist Loan Officer in preparing preliminary loan packages for processing by obtaining missing documentation and other information from customers
  • Utilize information gathered by the Mortgage Loan Originator to pre-qualify customers
  • Respond to customer's general questions regarding policy and procedures in the absence of the Loan Officer
  • Work with appraisers to obtain an official appraisal
  • Update customers, real estate agents, and titles companies on the progress of the loan
  • Coordinate and schedules loans closings
  • Maintain Loan Officer's databases of customer information
  • Assist Loan Officers with marketing campaigns through the mail, email, and the Internet
  • Perform other administrative tasks, such as faxing, emailing, and making telephone calls, to support the Loan Officer
  • Participate in and leads proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Adopt professional values in personal work behaviors, decision making, contributions, and interpersonal interactions
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity, and fun
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Maintain current registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System Registry
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, conventional, fixed/ adjustable loans, Bridge Loans, Non-Conforming Loans, FNMA and FHLMC, and Home Equity Lines of Credit
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, banking, real estate, or a related field
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, superb interpersonal and customer service skills, and exceptional decision-making ability
  • Strong understanding of company loan policies and guidelines, as well as all federal and state regulations
