Description of the Department or Unit
Marketing & Supply Chain Management is currently the largest department (in terms of undergraduate degree seeking students) of six departments within the John A. Walker College of Business. The approximately 225 declared Supply Chain majors who complete the required coursework in Supply Chain Management receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree.

Business students can earn minors in Supply Chain Management, Professional Selling, and Digital Marketing. Graduate level courses are offered in the MBA/ MS in Analytics program.

The Marketing & Supply Chain Management Department consists of 16 tenured/ tenure track and 11 adjunct faculty members. The Walker College of Business is one of the largest public business schools for undergraduate students in the University of North Carolina system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position will serve the Appalachian State campus in Hickory, NC.

The person who fills this position will be expected to provide instruction primarily in Principles of Supply Chain Management, Global Supply Chain and Logistics, Strategic Procurement and Global Sourcing, and Operations Management.

Instructional duties will include a teaching load of twelve credit hours per semester and participation in curriculum development.

In addition to instructional duties, faculty members will be expected to contribute to service activities such as alumni relations, participation in student recruiting activities, and other departmental activities.
