Lead Software Engineer (Enterprise Architecture Team)
A new and exciting engineering opportunity awaits within T. Rowe Price’s Enterprise Architecture group in Owings Mills MD! The Architecture Solutions Engineering (ASE) role will include not only product development for new and existing enterprise architecture applications but also the creation of standard patterns and reference implementations using new and exciting technologies across the broader organization. As a new team, this critical role will allow you to influence and shape its future.

Role Summary
This role will require not just expert level hands-on development and solution’s architecture but also strong leadership and communication capabilities with both technology and business partners to influence strategy as well as drive enterprise-wide best practices.

Technical Requirements
  • Experience with Java and Spring (Spring Boot / Tomcat) required
  • Strong understanding of cloud native architectures in AWS including microservice architecture and containers (Kubernetes / ECS), serverless compute (Lambda), as well as event, queue, and stream-based messaging technologies (CloudWatch / SQS / SNS / Kinesis).
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript including frontend frameworks such as Angular and React
  • Experience with RDBMS & NoSQL datastores
  • Experience with NodeJS a plus.
  • Ability to develop and manage the full software development lifecycle including development, test automation & strategy, and CI/CD processes.
  • Understanding of financial markets and instruments a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or mathematics related field or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND -8+ years of total relevant work experience.

This role is eligible for remote work up to three days a week.

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
