Lead/Assistant Teachers Job at IXL Learning Center - South Lyon
IXL Learning Center of South Lyon is looking for lead and assistant teachers for our child care center. IXL is a loving company that is continuing to grow. We are seeking exceptional candidates who are positive, patient and genuinely love spending their time with children.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan, supervise, and carry out education program as designed by IXL Learning Center
- Responsible for the appearance of the classroom (ie. bulletin boards, care of equipment and materials, overall cleanliness, and organization)
- Help plan and prepare a safe classroom environment
- Supervise children in classroom and on playground at all times
- Ability to lift children and equipment
- Share in classroom housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Open, daily communication with parents
- Lesson planning
- Implementing strong classroom management
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Daily communication with parents
Specific requirements for a lead teacher include but are not limited to the following:
- Someone who is positive, caring, loving, and patient
- Must work well with others
- Educational requirements: minimum 12 semester hours in Early Childhood Education or child related field with 960 hours of experience, 3 semester hours of infant/toddler education or willing to complete within 6 months of hire
