JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Laundry Attendant REPORTS TO: Facilities Supervisor
LOCATION: Sisters of St. Joseph - Brentwood FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SALARY: $20 per hour Date: March 15, 2023

Schedule: Thurs., Fri., Sat 7 am to 3 pm

POSITION SUMMARY:
Is responsible for performing all assignments within the Laundry Department

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to read labels and safety instructions
• Ability to work in a team environment

RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but is not limited to):

• Collecting, sorting, cleaning, folding and distribution of laundry to the Sisters of the Convent daily.
• Load and unload all dryers.
• Operate a handheld iron.
• Inspect linen for damage and removing items from circulation, if needed.
• Clean lint traps in dryers a minimum of twice per shift or as directed.
• Report any problems or malfunctions of the laundry equipment to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all OSHA guidelines and standards.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
• Other light housekeeping duties may be required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Must be able to push or pull up to 100lbs
• Requires significant amount of time standing and walking throughout the day
