POSITION SUMMARY
The Laundry Aide helps create a joyful and vibrant community by laundering residents' clothing and linens. This position also ensures the laundry rooms are maintained clean, safe and sanitary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supports dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents.
- Performs the day-to-day laundry duties as assigned.
- Sorts items and treats stains
- Sorts and folds clean, dried items
- Monitors inventory of laundry supplies and communicates needs to supervisor.
- Practices high standards of cleanliness.
- Ensures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner.
- Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
- Follows established Infection Control practices when performing laundry procedures.
- Operates and maintains all laundry equipment (i.e., commercial washer/dryer, Steamer, etc.).
- Works safely and recognizes potentially dangerous situations.
- Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings. Stays Current on2JJ_QneMjnund other system assigned tasks and duties.
- Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.
