Landscape Architect or Landscape Designer Job at Greensward LLC
Greensward LLC Culpeper, VA 22701
Greensward LLC is seeking a Landscape Architect or Landscape Designer to join our team and be part of a growing DB company located in the small town of Culpeper which is within driving distances of several cities and wealthy clientele. The position involves design of primarily residential landscapes which may include features such as swimming pools, patios, decks, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, water features, plantings, and gardens. The primary responsibilities will be to design, layout out, and colloborate with foremen to ensure design intent is achieved. Some design only (design for fee) projects will be part of book of work.
Primary duties will be performing design consultations, writing design proposals, doing site measurements and creating plans both 2D and 3D (using software), and doing take offs for estimates.
Duties will include:
- Communicating with clients as needed
- Preparation and presentation of finished design to client
- Working with install foreman and operations manager during install to ensure proper implementation of design intent.
- Designing to Greensward's standards while matching client's wants, needs, tastes and budget
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Virginia/East Coast plants common in the landscape.Must have some experience using landscape design software (Dynascape, Structures Studio, Sketch Up, CAD or Vectorworks)
- Self-motivated. Must be able to responsibly use time in a "set your own schedule" environment.
- Reasonably Tech Savvy
- Clean and Professional
- Friendly and engaging
- Please be prepared to show examples of past landscape design work or experiences
- Must enjoy helping clients create their "Dream Back Yard".
- Some remote work will be possible but office presence will be expected a minimum of 2-3 days a week.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
