CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Land Development Project Manager I to join our Land Development team from Duluth, GA.

YOUR IMPACT:
CHA's Land Development team facilitates cooperation among the developer, regulatory agencies, local review boards, consultants, and the community. We give careful consideration to impacts on traffic, stormwater drainage, water and sanitary services, and the environment. With all those moving parts, CHA is the one resource that can plan a project tactically, design it cohesively, permit it seamlessly, and construct it successfully. CHA has completed over 2,000,000 square feet of shopping mall and free-standing retail space in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, hundreds of projects for leading retail clients, dozens of national restaurant and hospitality clients and a myriad of apartment complexes, entertainment venues, pharmacies, convenience stores and other private development projects.

At CHA, our Land Development Project Manager I provides advanced judgment and analysis techniques for the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. This role is expected to coordinate contracts with the clients and subcontractors, manage purchase orders, and oversee any other project documents. They are responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of a project within the scope, budget, and schedule as well as managing the overall client relationship.

More specifically, the Land Development Project Manager I recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures as well as selects proper procedures to self-check their own work for completeness and accuracy in technical reports and calculations. This position identifes, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments as well as continuously monitors the progress and performance of the engineering design development against the project work plan.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline specific engineering experience required
  • Project management experience required
  • Ability to manage scope, budget, and schedule of technical tasks
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with the proven ability to practically apply engineering best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Experience with Civil 3D, local permitting, and client management preferred
  • Ability to develop project specific health and safety plans and verify projects are meeting QA/QC compliance
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment and independently
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve effectively
  • Adaptable and calm under pressure
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required
  • An active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
