Labor Department assists all main trades by accomplishing various tasks such as temp service setups, decking, insulation, paint abatement, and fire watching, All work accomplished by the labor department is labor intensive and all jobs will require you to be adaptable to changing conditions and project demands. The work is fast paced and constantly in flux so daily tasks may change from day to day. You will be expected to take part in all tasks assigned. You will be expected to carry lines, leads, 5 gallon buckets, blowers, hard vent ducting, welding machines, hand tools, fire extinguishers, scrap metal, trash, etc. throughout the ship. You will be moving up and down ladders and on occasion entering confined spaces and working at heights. You will also be required to maintain jobsite tidiness and cleanliness throughout the work day. This is an entry level position and based on your performance you may have opportunities for advancement within one of the main trades. No experience is required and training is provided on the job
