SALARY: $23.6461 / Hour (NYS Retirement)

The work involves responsibility for the performance of general laboring tasks, which requires physical endurance

and a willingness to perform arduous tasks at times in inclement weather. Primary responsibilities include

oversight of facility use, ensuring the building, training and other equipment on site are being used and maintained

in a safe environment. Incumbent may be required to use hand and power tools to perform work required in the

oversight of facility usage. Some weekend work may be required as necessary. The work is performed under

direct supervision of the County Fire Coordinator. Does related work as required.

NOTE: Details regarding hours and location will be discussed/determined at the interview level.

Typical work activities for this opportunity are: (*Illustrative Only)

Inspection of facility prior to and after use, ensuring cleanliness and condition of facility;

  • Identify any needed repairs and reports to County Fire Coordinator as necessary;
  • Attends activities as necessary to ensure compliance with facility usage and procedures;
  • Maintains detailed records of facility usage (hours, names, event, etc);
  • May operate small power tools and equipment as necessary;
  • Ensure cleanliness of facility before and after use;
  • May be required to clear snow/debris

reasonably understood to be within the logical limits of the job.

Minimum Qualifications for this position are: Graduation from high school or possession of Equivalency

Certificate (GED); some experience in fire service activity and current CPR desired.
