We are in search of a skilled laborer to join the team at International Paper Savannah Container Box Plant! The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality packaging in a safe and efficient manner while also promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy, and clean work environment.

Compensation:

For the first 120 days, the pay rate is $19.39. After the initial training period, the pay rate will increase between $20.09 - $24.48, with average yearly earnings of $65,000+

Signing Bonus: $1,000.00:

$500 after 30 days

$500 after 6 months

Category/Shift:

Monday-Friday with occasional weekend work

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the machine operator as directed
• Set up production machines to ensure high-quality products
• Maintain plant standards of housekeeping in work areas
• Read and interpret safety instructions and procedure manuals to maintain quality standards
• Use basic math skills and read a tape measure
• Communicate effectively with both managers and operators to solve problems and reduce waste
• Stand continuously, lift up to 50 lbs., work in various temperatures, and frequently twist and bend

• Ability to work with minimal supervision to achieve production goals
• Attention to detail and focus on quality
• Ability to learn, follow instructions, and work effectively in a team environment
• Flexibility to transition to other departments as needed
• Ability to operate or train to operate a forklift
• Flexibility to work alternative shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required
