Position Description:

This position is responsible for the hourly labor scheduling process for the Albany Brewery. Position includes developing the labor schedule to support the production schedule while following department overtime guidelines and labor contract, which is critical for this job. This role works closely with the Operations Leadership team and Union Leadership team to ensure the quality and the timeliness of the labor schedule published. The person filling this role will report directly to the Packaging Unit Manager.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate department labor schedule, (i.e.: weekly crewing, overtime, vacation sign-up and planning, includes training schedule etc.)
  • Participate in weekly Training and Labor Planning meeting to identify specific labor requests
  • Work with Operations Leadership to coordinate special meeting requests
  • Be available to department employees for any questions/concerns the employee may have

Tasks Performed May Include the Following:

  • Weekly, post labor schedule for upcoming week, which includes training needs, vacations, overtime and SDVAC/PD, etc.
  • Weekly, schedule weekend labor needs
  • Conduct weekly audits to provide to Operational Leaders
  • Meet with employees to answer questions about scheduling and time entry issues as needed
  • Lead annual vacation planning and selection process
  • Provide input to changes in business processes or new projects
  • Review vacation and Personal Day quota reports to ensure accuracy
  • Review Leave of Absence logs for scheduling purposes of employees out on leave
  • Other duties and tasks may be assigned within the scope of Labor Planning
