The Department of Pediatrics seeks a highly qualified Lab Specialist to work in the Ray laboratory at the Child Health Research Center. The laboratory explores molecular physiology and cellular mechanisms that precipitate pediatric renal diseases, with a focus on understanding the pathogenesis of nephrotic syndrome, capillary permeability, and angiogenesis in pediatric kidney diseases. The incumbent will be expected to perform experimental procedures done in cell culture, tissue harvest from rodents, and assist in all tracks related to the maintenance of the laboratory.

Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with at least three years’ experience. Six years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. Strong laboratory experience obtained at the bench in molecular and cell biology and significant experience working with rodents are required.

This is a restricted position; continuation is dependent on funding and satisfactory performance.
