Kitchen Manager/Chef Job at Kinney Lane Foods
Kinney Lane is a chef-driven prepared foods service serving Fairfield Country. We are expanding our New Canaan location and are looking for a kitchen manager to help manage the kitchen and cook as we expand.

Must work at least one weekend day
General Responsibilities:
- Oversee food production and inventory and ordering supplies
- Maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness in the restaurant
- Managing budgets and weekly orders
- Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and profits
- Handling customer complaints and conflicts
- Overseeing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Helping with menu development
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a managerial role in a restaurant or related industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Experience with excel/google sheets strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency with computer systems and point-of-sale systems
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
