Kindergarten Teacher Job at Teach Iowa
Hillside Christian School in Coralville, Iowa, is seeking qualified candidates for our morning and full day Kindergarten program to begin in August of 2023.
The Kindergarten teacher at Hillside Christian School takes responsibility for educating a small group of students (around 6), and nurturing their faith and their love of learning. Reading, language, math and writing skills are taught in combination with science and social studies using both guided curriculum and teacher created resources. At times, first grade students may join kindergarteners for short lessons and group activities.
Our Kindergarten teacher works alongside other Hillside teachers, shares lunch and recess supervision duties and will help with a morning devotional time. Applicants should have a mature and growing Christian faith and a love for ministering to young children. Experience and a Standard Teaching License is preferred. Salary is based on experience and education. Individuals who are flexible and creative will most enjoy this work environment.
Hillside is a K-8 school offering a unique multi-grade style of education. Two full-time teachers, two part time teachers and volunteers teach approximately 30 students total. It is board-run and non-denominational.
