The Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office (SAO) is seeking a full-time Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical or a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor to join the Juvenile Justice Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Project. The Project provides crisis counseling, mentorship and connection to resources to juveniles and their parents with the goal of preventing at-risk youth from being expelled from school and/or entering the juvenile justice system.
This position involves collaboration with the SAO, Anne Arundel County Schools, Department of Juvenile Services, Anne Arundel County Police Department and the Anne Arundel Mental Health Agency Crisis Response System to identify juvenile offenders in crisis, assess and connect those youths and their families to trauma informed critical services, and provide case management and counseling as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications:
- Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
- Must have experience in working with juveniles
- Experience in family counseling, academic coaching or trauma informed services
- Experience in assessing for mental health/substance use
- Able to quickly learn computer case management system
