Job Summary
Role Summary
We are seeking a Junior I.T. Support Technician to join our team, reporting to the Director of Information Security. This role works with onsite and remote employees from all business units. Duties will include, but not be limited to, supporting desk/laptop operating systems, hardware and software provisioning, software patching, printer support and inventory management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and prioritize incidents to provide first-level support for internal and remote employees experiencing hardware, software, networking or other IT-related issues.
- Effectively communicate with users to understand the problem and lead users through basic diagnostic procedures to resolve the issue.
- Monitor and use the helpdesk ticket management system to accurately describe details of the problem and its resolution.
- Support all end-user systems including installation, maintenance, email, hardware/software configuration and miscellaneous support of end-user systems.
- Assist and educate users as required with soft/hardware inquiries.
- Perform (or learn to perform) everyday I.T. activities including account creation, permissions assignment, email account configuration, desk/laptop maintenance, cellphone configuration, printer installation and equipment tuning.
- Collaborate with I.T. staff and management to maintain optimum performance of I.T. equipment and applications.
- Work independently and proactively and remain composed under pressure.

Required Education/Experience:
- High School or GED equivalent. (Associates, 4-year degree, CompTIA A+ or similar beneficial).
- Ability and willingness to adapt to new situations and technologies and balance competing priorities.
- Direct experience with computer hardware and software.
- Commercial exposure to and understanding of Microsoft products.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic understanding of basic TCP/IP network concepts and troubleshooting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (spelling, grammar, etc.).
- Comfortable working in a demanding fast-paced, customer-focused organization with evolving processes.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. above shoulder height
- Ability to be physical active (walking, crawling, pushing, lifting etc.) for long periods of time
