- Come join our team! We currently have multiple exciting possible Temp-to-Perm opportunities in Sterling Heights, MI for Entry-Level Mechanical Engineers to work on a Military Vehicle Program.
- Support the assembly of the Mobile Protected Firepower (MPF) prototype builds and verification.
- Keep the team lead informed on prototype build and verification status.
- Monitor the Engineering Bill Of Materials maturity and Engineering Release Plan execution.
- Utilize and update the prototype build BOM.
- Write MRs for all material required.
- Track material receipts and address “late to need” issues.
- Status assembly and fabrication build plans.
- Quickly disposition obsolete parts as directed by USG.
- Develop and foster a cohesive build team environment between prototype shop mechanics, sub system engineers, and system engineers.
- Act as primary interface between sub-system engineering and the prototype build shop responsible for vehicle level system integration, verification, and problem reporting/resolution.
- Generate Engineering Problem Reports to document fabrication, installation, and/or functionality issues discovered during the prototype build.
- Overtime and some second shift work will be required.
- Should be comfortable with "hands on" type of work'.
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering Degree required.
- Must be U.S. Citizen - "Must be able to meet ITAR requirements, including US citizenship to be considered for this role."
