Position Summary

As a Solar Electrician, you're responsible for all aspects of a wide variety of Electrical duties from MPUs, wire runs, circuit relocations, and other given assignments as directed by your superiors, including installation, maintenance, inspection, Conduit bending, Solar tie-ins, Troubleshooting, and repair for our residential clients. May include but not be limited to a variety of electrical operations duties. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and genuinely care for their craftsmanship.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean driving record
• Reliable Transportation
• A journeyman license is a huge plus
• Background check required
• 4+ years of Electrical experience
• Residential solar installation experience preferred
• MPU and Electrical tie in experience: required
• 2+ years in Solar is a huge plus

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills and attributes:

• Detail-oriented
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
• Electrical code knowledge
• Knowledge of basic trades: roofing, carpentry, plumbing, and metal framing is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring schematics, and electrical instructions
• Ability to communicate problems, make field changes, and communicate with the back office
• Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000VDC / 120V – 480VAC

Duties & Responsibilities

• Installation of Electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required to install residential solar PV Systems
• Evaluate systems accurately for maintenance, warranty repairs, design, and other purposes; diagnosis and repair solar and storage systems and electrical components
• Troubleshoot PV systems, repair and resolve electrical issues related
• Bending and installing conduit, pulling & terminating wire, cable, equipment, panels, and various control components and devices.
• Adhere, enforce, and monitor in accordance with company standards of installation and quality
• Work with local city and state inspectors for permitting
• Perform main service panel upgrades
• Tie in solar installation to main service panels
• Follow a safety program and attend safety meetings
• Complete QA inspections
• Ability to communicate problems to the Project Manager
• Provide detailed documentation regarding corrective actions, and ensure completion of corrective items in a timely manner
• Submit service reports to back office in a timely manner
• Ensure a quality installation experience for the customer
• Ensure all projects pass jurisdiction requirements.
• Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety
• Ensure proper job documentation is completed at the completion of each job

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour

Experience:

• Journeyman Electrician: 3 years (Preferred)
• Panel upgrades: 1 year (Preferred)

• NEC: 1 year (Preferred)
• Construction: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Electrical License (Preferred)
