Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check restrooms in both school buildings, empty trash, restock supplies (soap, bath tissue, etc.)
• Check employee break room and student kitchen - restock paper supplies, etc.
• Restock janitorial supplies in classrooms
• Keep interior doors and windows free of dirt and tape
• Inventory janitorial supplies twice per week
• Clean student desks and chairs
• Keep entrances of both buildings clean
• Keep lobby clean
• Maintain and check that Occupational Therapy swing and swing components are properly working
• Check fire extinguishers
• Check ceiling tiles to ensure their stability
• Clear toilets, replace light bulbs, install earthquake furniture straps
• Repair minor wall holes and paint
• Repair broken furniture, install or replace bulletin boards
• Move furniture as directed by supervisor
• Organize outside storage units and keep inventory
• Accept furniture deliveries, assemble if needed and distribute to designated area
• Lock exterior doors at end of day
• Drive as necessary in morning for student pick-up
• Fill up vehicles with gas as needed
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles

Skills / Abilities:

• Use power tools
• Be able to carry, lift, and push 50 lbs. or more

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a school setting is preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Employees must be physically and mentally able to perform the essential duties of a position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must meet all Pro-ACT standards and safety requirements (training provided). Light duty is not available.
