Job Description

The IT Support Specialist is the primary contact between CTS and our customers. This position is the front line for all service requests communicated via phone calls and email.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for answering phone calls and creating service requests.
  • Prioritize and escalate service requests as appropriate.
  • Perform troubleshooting steps to solve customer issues.
  • Consult with customers and provide advice.
  • Utilize RMM tools as part of daily support functions.
  • Complete understanding of the products and markets we serve.
  • Display professional behavior both internally and externally.
  • Engage in cross training and on-going education opportunities.
  • Attend to obligations and support other company initiatives as directed.
  • Track time and expenses accurately according to company policy.
  • Be prepared for occasional after hours projects or occasional off-site jobs.
  • Work with management to fine tune processes, increase proficiency, identify growth areas and better the organization as a whole.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow
  • Superior problem solving skills.
  • Strong PC skills, including experience supporting Office, Outlook, and related.
  • Superior communication, organization, and follow-through skills are essential.
  • Proven initiative, good judgment, and ability to achieve results
  • Able to handle process and procedure dynamics (constantly changing environment)

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Physical Requirements:

Ability to occasionally lift 50lb and be on your feet all day.
