Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy – Tarrytown Expocare (“Tarrytown”) is a national long-term care pharmacy that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (“IDD”). The Company provides prescription medication to IDD patients primarily residing in group homes and offers clinical administrative services to its facility partners.

Tarrytown is looking for a strong working leader to oversee our Pharmacy Systems Group. This person would oversee and execute the integrations/conversions from legacy systems to our company standard (Softwriters Framework LTC/ECM). As Tarrytown acquires new pharmacies, this individual will be responsible for analyzing the existing pharmacy systems and developing a plan to migrate them to our company standard solutions working with the pharmacy operators and staff. This person will be responsible for application support, automation workflow design, change management, and project management related to that objective.

This individual would also work with Pharmacy Operations to identify opportunities to improve automation and pharmacy workflow. He/she will oversee and actively engage in designing, building, and maintaining the entire environment for this core set of applications working with multiple vendor partners who provide remote managed services to maintain them. Communication at all levels of the organization will be required.

Essential Duties:

· Lead a small but growing team of subject matter experts for core pharmacy systems (Framework LTC and ECM)

· Work with pharmacy automation systems (SynMed, Medicine on Time, Parata, TCGRx, Omnicell, McKesson, RxSafe, etc.)

· As we acquire pharmacies individual will lead:

o Investigation of current pharmacy solutions and workflow

o Plan migration to company standard solutions

o Coordinate necessary resources to execute pharmacy conversion

o Lead and coordinate testing and training

o Work with IT staff to update infrastructure in preparation and support of the migration

o Work with pharmacy operations and account management to develop customer communication plan related to migration

o Oversee configuration of new pharmacy application instance

· Develop workflow documentation based on self-initiated interviews, diagrams, surveys, and workflow analysis.

· Research and analyze all aspects of existing pharmacy processes and help draft, refine, and promote proposed solutions for advancing automation.

· Create/Assist in developing training material to train end-users in the use of software applications.

· Organizes and prioritizes assigned tasks to meet established schedules, timeliness and/or deadlines.

· Work independently with minimal supervision.

· Assist with project management discipline.

· Assist with change management discipline.

Requirements:

· College or Advanced Degree

· Proven IT aptitude and experience

· Pharmacy operations knowledge

· Licensed Pharmacist is significant plus

· Experience researching, proposing, and implementing software changes to improve pharmacy operations

· Experience and technical understanding of the following:

o Softwriters Framework LTC

o Softwriters ECM

o Integra (aka Redsail Technologies) Docutrack and DeliveryTrack

o QS1

o E-Prescribing

o eMAR interfaces

· Oral and written communication skills worthy of Executive Level briefings/publications

· Demonstrations in writing comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, impact analysis, and corrective action plans

· Proficient in English written and spoken language
