The ITIO organization is focused on delivering exceptional and secure global hosting services across 330+ sites, data centers and via the cloud. All this while designing a state-of-the-art cost effective globally transformed hosting service within a user centric culture across all the ITIO service teams.

Towards this objective, the ITIO organization is looking for an Infrastructure Analyst that will focus on the analysis, reporting, and trending for the network, hosting, and client services organizations globally. The goal of ITO is to provide a stable and robust infrastructure environment that consistently provides a positive experience that is aligned with the overall business requirements.

As an Infrastructure analyst, you will work with the infrastructure teams to analyze current technical environments and vendor accounts for spending trends and report this data to leadership. You will work with multiple vendors to assist in the ordering and tracking process of all new technologies that are being rolled out globally. This is a hands-on role working on existing and new accounts, technologies, and platforms. You will be working in a hybrid environment (physical and virtual).

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Global Infrastructure, you will have responsibility for the following:

  • Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently. This would include working with engineers on BOM’s and making sure the equipment is ordered and tracked
  • Analyze, trend, report and present findings as well as create high quality visual representations for broad and diverse audiences within the organization
  • Create precise documents to describe specifications, capabilities, and processes associated with the assigned projects demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness
  • Participate in process and technical solution creation activities
  • Query and manipulate data to identify variance and root cause, analyze trend, summarize findings, and develop recommendations for stakeholders
  • Work departmentally and interdepartmentally to address deficiencies and recommend implementation of creative efficiencies and modifications to existing process
  • Prepare routine reports as needed (financial, quality, production, operational efficiency, etc.) and other duties as assigned
  • Collaborate with business units to understand strategic goals and promote an environment conducive to creativity, change and information exchange
  • Tracking the commissioning and decommissioning of network assets and ensuring Asset Inventory is current, complete, and correct
  • Reviewing operations guides/runbooks for currency, completion, and compliance, as well as setting up and maintaining a repository for our internal teams.
  • Assist continuous improvement, cost reduction and capital projects.
  • Support collaborative relationships between network, compute, and other IT organizations, including both Sonoco’s staff and its relevant technology service providers
  • Assist with billing questions from CASS.
  • Perform other job duties as required.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated ability to create visualizations and presentations with hands on experience in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (advanced functions and formulas, pivot tables, visual presentation)
  • Experience in gathering and communicating complex analytical business requirements in a simple and easy to understand manner to other staff. As the SME, the Infrastructure Analyst will need to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including technical staff, internal non-technical staff, testing teams, and business stakeholders
  • Will need an overall understanding of IT technology.
  • Experience in facilitating analysis sessions
  • Experience with delivering presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision with excellent time management and prioritization skill
  • This is a collaborative team environment. You must be able to effectively work with others, provide and implement project solutions while understanding process flows
  • Demonstrate consistent multi-tasking skills and planning for prioritizing workload within tight deadlines
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure (compute, network, storage, etc.) environments and how they work
  • Ability to think through problem management, visualize solutions and drive to resolution
  • Create thorough documentation for design and planning.
  • Work with staff within and outside of IT
  • Solid communications ability, with great interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Able to work in team environment and motivate others
  • Flexible and ready to absorb new skills and techniques
  • Willing to be available for occasional off-hours engagement and activity.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Ability to handle pressure situations with clarity, focus and professionalism
  • A very good understanding of “Quality” as it relates to Customer satisfaction

Job Location: Remote or many other Sonoco locations

The salary range for this role is $72,975 to $87,570.
