Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for Manager - Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering. This is a direct hire opportunity in Tampa, FL for a terrific end-client in the manufacturing industry.

Job Duties:
- Builds and manages the cloud and infrastructure team that designs, deploys, maintains, supports, and improves the cloud and platform infrastructure services and solutions that support business applications and systems.
- Provides tactical guidance to the team to ensure that cloud and infrastructure solutions meet or exceed business requirements and support business growth.
- Works with the Director, Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering to align cloud and infrastructure technology strategy and individual and team goals and priorities with IT and business strategy. Provides status, KPI, and/or scorecard reporting on cloud and infrastructure services, solutions, and products to provide results transparency to customers, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Possesses necessary expertise to effectively lead the team that designs, delivers, manages, supports, and improves cloud and infrastructure platform services and solutions.
- Supported infrastructure platform solutions and services include Windows / Linux Servers, Citrix, Active Directory, M365/O365, Load Balancers, VMWare, APIs, Azure and Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Storage, SAN, Backup, Disaster Recover, and High Availability, Cisco Networks, SDWAN, SASE, Firewalls, DevOps, IaC/CaC (infra/config as code).
- Improves infrastructure platform stability, availability, and performance by ensuring the following are done for all infrastructure platform services and solutions.
- Mentors, coaches, and guides the team to facilitate consistently successful delivery of cloud and infrastructure solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- High accountability, ownership, and productivity; gets work done on-time with high quality.
- Effectively manages own and team’s time and prioritizes own and team’s work to ensure delivery of highest priority projects, solutions, and tasks.
- Promotes automation, "infra and config as code", and DevOps tools and processes.
- Supports cloud and infrastructure platform services and solutions.
We Value:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field of study and 3 years of IT engineering experience or comparable experience or a combination of years of equivalent experience, education, and training.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with data center infrastructure services such as IP Networks, IPAM, DHCP, Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, API.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing and/or engineering IT infrastructure platform services and solutions.
- Minimum of 2 year of experience with deploying and managing IT infrastructure platforms via automation, DevOps, and/or infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure platform services and solutions to cloud.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to lead delivery of monitoring, alerting, health checks, and/or infrastructure platform services health dashboards (Preferred) experience on Azure and/or Google cloud.
- (Most Preferred) Infrastructure and configuration as code for IaC and CaC languages and tools like Terraform, Python, or Powershell.
- (Most Preferred) Azure or Google cloud infrastructure and platforms.
- (Most Preferred) Monitoring, alerting, and/or SRE tools and best practices.
