About the Role – Who You’ll Work With
The IT Business Analyst will work closely with MVM’s management, corporate personnel, Information Technology, and stakeholders as applicable and in collaboration with our government customer.
What You’ll Do
  • Act as the primary liaison/ point of contact between the customer and MVM to provide detailed requirements from business users through interviews, documentation, and facilitated working sessions.
  • Be the point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for business instructions to functionally analyze the business process and to collaborate with stakeholders and Information Technology personnel to facilitate change in business strategy, data analytics, and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in strategic meetings to review, evaluate, and/or propose new business opportunities to improve customer relationships, operating efficiencies, and/or add business benefits.

  • Timely, effective, and safe transport of unaccompanied minors to be reunified with their sponsors or to licensed shelters.

Key functions you will perform
  • Skillful in gathering/analyzing requirements/features, and hands on experience in writing, presenting, and creating high-level designs, process flows, mapping current and future state process workflows, User interface (UI) requirements, UI analysis results, Data models, and requirements.
  • Creates comprehensive business process models and maps, business glossaries, data models, and mock-ups/prototypes based on requirements, capturing pertinent process step details and metrics details in design documents so that opportunities for process improvements, benchmarks, key performance indicators, current metrics, and target objectives can be recognized.
  • Manage changes to baseline requirements through the effective application of change control processes and tools.
  • Leads and/or Supports Testing efforts through defect resolution and acts as the SME for all assigned project efforts.
  • Experience with assessing data quality; identifying patterns, trends and issues in data sets.
  • Negotiate and build alignment among competing parties and priorities, ultimately driving teams to effective decisions.
  • Demonstrates the ability to efficiently manage own time, activities and resources. Identify specific activities required to accomplish objectives, rank them in order of importance, and coordinate and take action to achieve desired results; prioritize complex multiple activities and projects.
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify root causes of problems and create new solutions to non-routine problems; identify inefficient business work processes and recommend technological solutions to improve; consider the impact and application of proposed solutions on other projects, work units, or business information problems
  • Develop comprehensive user stories, logical design diagrams, and a prioritized backlog to engage development teams in addressing identified needs.
  • Think logically, critically, and constructively about complex problems, clearly communicate findings of analysis, and propose solutions that address explicit and implicit needs.
  • Working with the trainers to disseminate effective training materials for end users.
  • Ability to discuss with tech leads and team to map business requirements into high-level technical stories.
  • Proven ability to determine systemic process faults and improve overall process performance across organizations.
  • Manages acceptance testing with the business users performing system configuration and integration testing including the functionality, performance, and fit-for-use to ensure original requirements are met and defined constraints are controlled.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and successful experience working in a dynamic environment with individuals at all levels.
What you will need to have:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or an MBA.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, SharePoint, Viso, and Outlook.
  • Familiar with analytical reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Hands-on experience in any ITIL project management tools like Service Now, or equivalent service ticketing system.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Produces high-quality deliverables with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
  • Prior experience working with government contracts
Work Schedule - Due to the importance of this position, employees supporting this contract can be required to work extended hours to include evening work, on-call, and weekends to support time-sensitive or real-time complex services. This position is considered ESSENTIAL. This means the IT Business Analyst will be required to work during emergency or crisis situations, including inclement weather, natural and man-made disasters, etc.
