Inventory Control Associate Job at ZEISS Group

  • Load and unload heavy machinery and other shipments to and from trucks in an efficient, safe, and timely manner.
  • Operate forklifts, power jacks, and manual pallet jacks to move equipment and supplies.
  • Understand and utilize SAP for receiving and picking.
  • Receive and process returns from field technicians and customers.
  • Catch and return defective/damaged parts and process with QA.
  • Fulfill and prioritize order picking according to company standards and lead guidelines.
  • Pickup, return, and deliver empty and newly filled part containers to production floor.
  • Complete return to stock from production floor.
  • Maintain data integrity by rectifying inventory discrepancies.
  • Work and communicate professionally with departments, truck drivers, and external vendors.
  • Complete and verify outgoing/incoming BOLs and relevant paperwork.
  • Keep track of warehouse stock, maintaining organized methodology.
  • Follow procedures, policies, and work instructions per company and supervisory guidelines.
  • Able to flex into any position within assigned area to help cover for a staff shortage.
  • Utilize lean techniques to eliminate waste.
  • Utilize 5S principles to keep work are optimized.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new employees as needed.

Experience and Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Data Entry, Touch-Screen Device, and Computer skills required.
  • Able to learn quickly and follow processes consistently.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
  • 1-2 or more years previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with SAP preferred.
  • Previous forklift operation experience highly preferred.
