Inventory Control Associate Job at ZEISS Group
- Load and unload heavy machinery and other shipments to and from trucks in an efficient, safe, and timely manner.
- Operate forklifts, power jacks, and manual pallet jacks to move equipment and supplies.
- Understand and utilize SAP for receiving and picking.
- Receive and process returns from field technicians and customers.
- Catch and return defective/damaged parts and process with QA.
- Fulfill and prioritize order picking according to company standards and lead guidelines.
- Pickup, return, and deliver empty and newly filled part containers to production floor.
- Complete return to stock from production floor.
- Maintain data integrity by rectifying inventory discrepancies.
- Work and communicate professionally with departments, truck drivers, and external vendors.
- Complete and verify outgoing/incoming BOLs and relevant paperwork.
- Keep track of warehouse stock, maintaining organized methodology.
- Follow procedures, policies, and work instructions per company and supervisory guidelines.
- Able to flex into any position within assigned area to help cover for a staff shortage.
- Utilize lean techniques to eliminate waste.
- Utilize 5S principles to keep work are optimized.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new employees as needed.
Experience and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Data Entry, Touch-Screen Device, and Computer skills required.
- Able to learn quickly and follow processes consistently.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
- 1-2 or more years previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Previous experience with SAP preferred.
- Previous forklift operation experience highly preferred.
