The Inventory Control Associate will be responsible for all inventory control related activities under direct supervision of Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records; examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify; completes paperwork or forms required for documentation.
  • Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
  • Prepares materials for shipping against customer orders by weighing, packaging, crating, and banding; and issues materials and supplies per requests; documents transactions appropriately; prepares requisitions and computes costs; keeps records of warehouse inventory.
  • Monitor daily inventory transactions for accuracy and maintain data integrity in ERP system.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
  • Performs cycle counts of inventory and non-inventory items as requested utilizing hand counts or weight counts.
  • Work with shipping and receiving as needed for inventory control.
  • Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.
  • Comply with safety programs, policies, and guidelines to ensure clean, orderly, and safe working conditions.
  • Complete training in Hazardous Waste Management
  • Will be required to perform other tasks as requested or assigned. Comply with Company policies and procedures.


Education Experience

  • High School Diploma


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Two years of experience working in a material warehouse or storage operation.
  • 3 -5 years of experience in materials management or inventory control
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of modern warehouse procedures, including methods of proper and orderly storage and issuance of materials.
  • Skill in operating forklift or other materials handling equipment, including in tight and congested areas.
  • Proven experience of basic stock inventory procedures; requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, bills of lading, freight tags, and the use and meaning of each; computerized warehouse record keeping systems.
  • Expert level of MS Office knowledge and proficiency in MS Excel preferred
  • Data Entry experience
