Hours: 2nd shift (3:30 pm – 1:30 am Mon – Thurs)

Position: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $20-$30 ( based on experience )

Summary:

The CMM Programmer takes ownership of the performance of the CMM area, including creating/editing CMM programs, ensuring reliable inspection results in a timely manner, and supporting proper upkeep of the area and equipment, with minimum supervision. The role requires a strong partnership with quality team members, operations, and engineering.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Generate new CMM programs for items including production hardware and gaging
  • Coordinate CMM program release approvals with quality and engineering
  • Develop CMM programming standards to drive program consistency
  • Identify needed CMM hardware and fixturing required to inspect the product safely and accurately
  • Partner with engineering to develop CMM setup instructions to be included in part-specific work instructions
  • Stay abreast of needed software upgrades and coordinate their installation
  • Perform product and gaging inspection on CMMs and partner with operations and engineering to review results and determine the next steps for addressing any non-conformances
  • Support receiving and final inspection duties as required
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
  • Actively participate in the inspection HPT (High-Performance Team)
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to set up and perform CMM operations.
  • Experience with generating CMM programs; Knowledge of Zeiss Calypso software highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to work with inspection equipment (i.e., comparators, micrometers, etc.)
  • Demonstrated participation in team meetings, project teams, and improvement efforts.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate inspection methodology and results
  • Proficient in MS Office software tools in support of work instruction generation

Note:

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $ 20.00_ - $30.00__ per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Machinist- CMM programming: 3 years (Required)
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).: 3 years (Required)
  • Inspection: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Zeiss Calypso software: 2 years (Preferred)
