The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Manager, Global Market and Competitive Insights supporting our global strategic marketing and commercial organization. This position is tasked with providing global market and competitive insights to the Diabetes Care division based on primary and/ or secondary research and analytics. This person will provide direction and input to strategic marketing, commercial and forecasting related activities. The ability to understand the business needs and to develop and communicate information around these needs will drive success within this position. Reports directly to the Director, Competitive Insights. This role will be a remote US based position.

What You’ll Work On

  • Provides market and competitive insight to the marketing and commercial organization.
  • Champions primary and / or secondary research information within the Diabetes Care division.
  • Understands the market place and competitor dynamics and provides expertise on data interpretation for the marketing and commercial organizations.
  • Partners with marketing and commercial leadership to identify research and analysis needs.
  • Design appropriate research and analysis plans based on understanding of available research and analytical techniques.
  • Strong organization skills needed to manage research supplier(s) on cost, timing, appropriateness of research methodology, and action ability of conclusions.
  • Analyze and synthesize learnings from research and analysis.
  • Drawing conclusions that provide recommendations to business teams.
  • Utilizes knowledge of standard research and analytic methods to distill information into clear, concise communication.
  • Independently seeks and leverages market research and analysis peers and leaders, business partners and external vendors to ensure strong analysis and sound recommendations.
  • Exhibits strong analytic abilities in breaking down issues and developing solutions.
  • Translates results into clear, concise presentations and written reports.
  • Leverages multiple sources of data and types of research to build conviction on your teams that drive action in our global markets.
  • Finds creative and compelling ways to generate, present, and evangelize results and recommendations throughout the company, in order to help cultivate a highly informed, more effective, and more empathetic organization
  • Mentors and inspires the team on best practice utilization
  • Understands the market place, competitor dynamics and provides expertise on data interpretation for the marketing and commercial organizations.
  • Displays a positive, solution based approach to all research issues and ability to work in teams.

Pay

The salary range for this position is 118,100 - 236,100K based on experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a matrix environment with a track record of career growth
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years working experience in the market research, business analytics/forecasting, competitive intelligence field in industries such as Healthcare, Consumer Packaged Goods, Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals or similar industries.
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Whole brained thinker who combines data with deep empathy and strong storytelling
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate dynamic project scopes
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Experience working with interdependent cross-functional and global teams
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Someone who approaches challenges with possibilities thinking and a learning mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree
  • Strong secondary research and analytics experience
  • Diabetes category experience
