JOB DESCRIPTION:
Location: Orlando, FL (South Orlando)
Position: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Pay: $25 to $30 per hour Depending on Experience
Benefits: Weekly Paycheck (every Friday) Medical Insurance, PTO accrual, Several paid days off on major holidays every year, + more

Shift:
1st Shift (Days) 7 am - 7 pm
2nd Shift (Nights) 7 pm - 7 am

Schedule:
Friday, Saturday & Sunday (Work 36 Hours, Get Paid For 40)
Position Summary:
This position has the responsibility and will be accountable for providing the necessary services to repair and maintain the facility and equipment, in order to enable production to produce products and meet customer and internal specifications with regard to quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. The qualified candidate must have in-depth troubleshooting skills.

Essential Duties and Tasks:
  • Follows all company and OSHA safety-related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. Situational awareness and identifying unsafe behaviors and conditions
  • Performs entry to mid-level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments to sustain and improve operations; repairing or replacing defective parts; reconditioning or repairing machine tools.
  • Identifies needed parts, supplies, and repair items.
  • Provides support and backup for other members of the department as needed by leadership.
  • Is aware of Maintenance Industry Standards.
  • Understanding of GMPs, continuous improvement, and Quality Control
  • Assures compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Participates in CI activities - processes, results, and cost savings.
  • May be required to set up and operate simple machining operations including but not limited to the lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform basic welding tasks.
  • Updates records and reviews CMMS history.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting of control systems circuitry.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Associate's degree with a Technical focus or 18 months of related experience in general industry.
  • 2-3 Years of previous mechanical and electrical background
  • Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems. Can perform repairs.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools.
  • MUST be flexible to work all shifts and available for weekend overtime as necessary.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate within a team environment.
