Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo is seeking to hire an Industrial Engineer at our Warehouse Facility in Worthington, Ohio. As our Industrial Engineer, you will drive performance and quality improvements within our Warehouse Operations Group. In addition, you will work closely with our Operations, Engineering, and Materials teams in optimizing our processes.
Your responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in work center layouts, materials flow and processes to improve productivity and eliminate waste
- Champion a Lean Warehouse culture while supporting lean and green activities to support Mettler Toledo's Lean Culture
- Provide root cause analysis support to eliminate disturbances
- Improve delivery through-put by reducing overall processing times
- Support warehouse teams to drive KPI improvement
- Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvements
- Monitor and improve operational processes and improve responsiveness to customer needs
- Provide support with the design, improvement, and implementation of integrated systems to support operational excellence
- Maintain knowledge of best-in-class processes for warehousing operations
- Lead operational improvement projects
What You Need to Succeed
- Associate's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field with 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field or position desired
- Experience working in a hands-on warehouse environment preferred
- Lean Certification is preferred
- Strong lean knowledge and aligned behaviors (lead by example)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to lead projects and work as part of a project team
