GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for performing preventive, emergency and routine maintenance of all equipment, buildings, and systems.
  • Responsible for identifying, correcting or recommending corrections for unsafe equipment and facility situations.
  • Direct efforts based on work order system, preventive maintenance schedule and requests from department supervisors/foreman as needed to maintain facility efficiency.
  • Work with and supervise contractors hired for maintenance activities as necessary.
  • Work after-hours and weekends as necessary and directed for accomplishing facility goals.

*PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES:*

  • Be familiar with and obey all OSHA and Voith safety regulations.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in maintenance area and work areas.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to OEM/Voith standards for performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Utilize the work order system for performing and documenting work.
  • Available for rotating on-call duty schedule, estimated at one week per month.

*REQUIREMENTS:*

  • 2-year degree in Industrial Electronics or similar field required.
  • 3 years’ work experience in manufacturing/production electrical field preferred.
  • 5 years’ work experience may be substituted in lieu of education requirement.
  • Proficiency in electrical circuits 600V and less for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Understanding of PLC systems and programing for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Proficiency in using a PC for email, work order system and documentation.
