Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care is currently looking for candidates who are truly passionate about providing superior care to our client base and their families in the Norwalk, North Stamford, New Canaan, Wilton, Ridgefield, and Darien areas. This is not just a job, but oftentimes an extension of the families whose homes we visit on a regular basis. Caregivers are an active participant in the clients care plan, and candidates that exhibit this passion for working in this industry are a must for Acti-Kare. Qualifications

• 3 year experience in a healthcare or in-home care environment.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties.
• Must have a Valid Connecticut driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass required background checks.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
• Willingness to enforce to health and safety standards.
• Supportive and compassionate.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification is a plus! Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program.

Duties include:

• Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transfers Provide medication reminders
• Assist clients with mobility around the house or outside, assist with clients transfers and ambulation.
• Meal preparation, light housekeeping,
• Provide client with transportation with errands, grocery shopping, and to doctor appointments.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency, and report any unusual incidents.
