Liberty Healthcare provides comprehensive mental health services to inmates at the West Valley Detention Center – a San Bernardino County jail located in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

These mental health services are provided by Liberty Healthcare’s onsite clinical team - which is comprised of over one hundred Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Counselors, Registered Nurses, Recreation Therapists, Psychiatric Technicians, and ancillary professionals.

Liberty Healthcare is now hiring for a Human Resources Generalist position which will be responsible for:

  • Taking an active role in recruiting, interviewing and hiring activities
  • Supporting leadership by serving as the program’s onsite human resources subject matter expert
  • Onboarding new employees
  • Supporting employees in their initial and ongoing training activities
  • Fostering employee career growth and participating in succession planning
  • Promoting a positive workplace culture and championing diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Helping managers to successfully resolve personnel and employee performance issues
  • Assisting with employee timekeeping, changes in status, benefits issues, and employee self-service
  • Seeking opportunities to improve employee job satisfaction and retention while minimizing turnover
  • Offboarding exiting employees and conducting exit interviews
  • Participating in investigations as well as risk management and corporate compliance activities
  • Partnering with corporate recruiting, human resources and payroll professionals
  • Liaising with Liberty’s Vice President of Human Resources and corporate and human resources team

This position is based at the West Valley Detention Center and will require you to work onsite Monday through Friday during daytime hours.

As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare in this role, you can expect:

  • Starting salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
  • 240 hours (30 days) of annual paid time off for vacation, holidays, sick and personal leave

You are a good fit for this position if you have at least five years of human resources experience which includes most of the responsibilities listed above.

A Bachelor’s degree is required and SHRM or HRCI certification is preferred.
