In this position, you would be responsible for the team member experience from onboarding to team member engagement. The position manages all Human Resources functions at the community and works closely with the home office team, Benefits Specialist and Recruiter. Serves as a resource and advisor for department managers in the hiring, training, development and management of staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Team member Recruitment, Hiring, and Onboarding

  • Lead efforts in creating a best-in-class onboarding experience
  • Collaborates with Recruiter to ensure that all open positions are actively moving through the recruitment process and addresses any obstacles.

Team member engagement and retention

  • Monitors and oversees the engagement survey platform in the community.
  • Monitors turnover statistics, identifies potential trends, and makes recommendations for addressing issues.
  • Champions a culture of trust at the community to help ensure team members complete surveys and monitors participation.

Employee Relations and Performance

  • Provides HR policy interpretation and guidance and advises managers in resolutions of employee relations issues.
  • Provides guidance for the investigation and resolution of team member concerns.

Compensation and Benefits Administration

  • Responsible for the SAP program in the community. This includes approving all offers and start dates to ensure adherence to SAP guidelines and hiring compliance.
  • Monitors community salaries and compa-ratios to ensure compression issues are addressed appropriately.
  • Reviews and approves merit increases submitted through UKG and provides ED with monthly status reports.
  • Recommends adjustments to pay ranges as needed to maintain competitive hiring.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Management experience required.
  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • HR Certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local laws and regulations governing Human Resources.
  • Ability to maintain and strengthen good working relationships with staff and residents.
  • Possess good skills in planning, organizing and directing.
  • Ability to deal directly and frequently with staff at all levels of the organization and to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in computerized timekeeping and HRIS systems.
