Responsibilities & Requirements:
This position will provide Human Resources support services to all Kettering Health Network employees with a high level of effectiveness, efficiency, and a focus on customer service. This position will coordinate and support the candidate onboarding process for new hires and transfers. The Specialist will compile and prepares job information for advertising of open positions. Schedule interviews, handle reference checks, and maintain applicant database. Provides overall administrative support to the employment/recruitment area, including maintaining, processing documentation and records.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education
High School Diploma. Associates Degree preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
3 years of related experience
Required Skills
Proficient with a variety of software programs including MS Office, Excel, Access, and Word. Good project management skills. Strong communication, problem solving and resolution skills. Must be able to multi-task, maintain confidentiality, work independently, and have good organizational skills.
Essential Functions
Pre-Offer
  • Verify and enter data into iCIMS (e.g., licensure)
  • Process recruiting and relocation expense reimbursements (except for executives)
  • Audit requisitions and perform requisition maintenance as needed
  • Intake and distribute affiliation agreements
  • Receive and process job shadowing applications

Post-Offer
  • Schedule orientation and add new hires to orientation roster
  • Initiate and track reference and background check results; escalate unfavorable results
  • Schedule drug screen and Employee Health visits; track to completion
  • Validate employee paperwork (e.g., I-9s)
  • Conduct pre-employment services activities (e.g., fingerprinting, badging creation), excluding medical activities (e.g., nicotine screen)
Preferred Qualifications:
PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
