  • Ability to type 50 wpm.
  • Ability to properly compose letters and communications (sentence structure, grammar, spelling).
  • Able to maintain confidential information.
  • Able to work under pressure of deadlines and frequent interruptions.
  • Able to file, answer phones, and organized
  • Previous experience in personnel work preferred.

Assist the Human Resources Office with all personnel-related matters concerning the organization’s employees. This includes the areas of recruitment, screening applicants, orientation, policies and procedures, job descriptions, continuing education, wage and salary administration, coordination of performance reviews, record keeping and annual training. Provides general assistance within Human Resources and backs up the volunteer coordinator function as needed.

Work is primarily performed in an office setting and is considered sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally. Requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires good manual and finger dexterity to operate computers, phones, and handle documents. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
