Swire Coca-Cola is hiring a Leave and Accommodation Partner to own and drive the implementation, communication, and administration of all programs, policies, and processes related to protected leave and requests for accommodation. The right candidate will help to ensure our company’s leave and accommodation practices adhere to the provisions of all federal, state, and local laws. They will manage the administration of all employee leaves and the reasonable accommodation process for the Company, serving as the subject matter expert. Partnering with managers to ensure employees are treated fairly and consistently. Identify and implement improvements to processes and owns the relationship with third party vendors.

Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of leave administration process from initial notice of the need for leave to return to work.
  • Management of interactive reasonable accommodation process including providing coaching to leaders during decision-making, working closely with employees, and providing recommendations on final decisions.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for leave and reasonable accommodation process, often serving as the decision maker in difficult scenarios.
  • Identify and lead optimization projects to improve systems, processes, and management practices improving effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Reviews, updates, and maintains all leave and accommodation policies to ensure legal compliance, ensure proper distribution and integration with all departments and training of HR and non-HR Managers.
  • Monitors and updates HR team and business leaders on applicable legal regulatory changes in federal, state, and local leave laws identifying impact to current leave and accommodation processes.
  • Oversees the return-to-work process partnering with managers to ensure employees can come back when able or other accommodations are provided when reasonable up to/including job reassignment.
  • Monitors leave and accommodation activity, including identifying proper reporting processes.
  • Utilize data to improve processes and company training.
  • Lead collaboration with Employee Relations when leave impacts performance.
  • Cultivate a strong client-oriented service rapport with other internal partners based on collaboration and inclusion.
  • Work closely with the Workers Compensation team to ensure proper coordination of the Workers Comp claim process and the employee’s right to or need for leave.
  • Owns all training programs on leave or reasonable accommodation and determines when training is needed.
  • Works closely with HR team and other areas of the business to implement identified training.
  • Closely manages vendor relationships to ensure service needs are met and compliance requirements are fulfilled; make decisions regarding service and configurations.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in leave administrator role or role where responsible for the leave and/or accommodation process
  • Experience with third party leave administration solutions
  • Ability to work through complex and difficult situations and independently find solutions
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands and make decisions at a fast pace
  • Ability to quickly learn new programs and systems
  • Ability to partner with and influence leaders and other decision makers
  • Experience with compliance of federal and state disability legislation and programs including FMLA, ADA, and state leave laws.
  • Experience building trainings or curriculum on leave and accommodation processes and applicable federal or state laws.
  • Experience writing policies.
  • Excellent skills required in the areas of negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that allow the ability to interact effectively with all levels of team members.
