Housekeeping Job at Serra Village Retirement Community
Clean/polish furnishings, lights and other fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc. in resident rooms, common areas, and offices, daily as instructed. Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom and bathroom fixtures.Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc.Clean carpets. This includes: vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.Clean walls and ceilings, by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.Clean refrigerators/freezers on nursing units and in employee lunch areas as directed.Remove and re-hang window/shower/privacy curtains as needed for cleaning or replacement.Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners. Keep waste cans clean under liners.Clean and restock carts, supplies, and equipment as needed.Report worn-out or damaged articles/furnishings, etc. to supervisor as soon as possible.Perform terminal cleaning procedures as instructed.Able to safely and properly perform all skills listed in the skills/duties checklist.Clean isolation rooms using safe and proper technique according to facility policy.Various other duties as assigned

Pay: $12.50 - $14.00 per hour
