At Southwood Psychiatric Hospital we specialize in working with children and adolescents aged 4 to 18 for short term crisis stabilization program. We serve both male and female populations that are in an acute stage of psychiatric illness and are at imminent risk of harm to themselves or others.

Housekeeping responsibilities:

• Performs cleaning duties according to schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas such as bedrooms, common areas, dayroom, and offices.
• Sweeps, dusts, dust mops and wet mops areas, spot cleans and vacuums floors and carpets.
• Cleans and sanitizes lavatory, shower, sink fixtures. stocks dispensers as necessary.
• Collects trash from work areas and places in designated pick-up areas.
• Ensure any supplies, cords, carts, equipment and other hazards are always kept out of the way, not blocking exits and in compliance with fire codes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Two years experience preferred

· Maintains competence in identified universal, core and critical competencies.

· Valid Act 33/34 clearances

· Must meet job competencies within 90 days of hire.
