Overview:
Ebenezer offers a robust compensation package for Housekeepers with excellent benefits and wages starting from $15.89 - 17.13 per hour. Wage determinations will be based on related experience.
We are looking for a Housekeeper to provide a clean, safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff and visitors of our Skilled Nursing Care Center

This position includes;
  • 0.6 FTE or 48 hours every 2 weeks, part-time but can pick up other shifts
  • Day shift
  • Every third weekend rotation

Lake City Care Center located between Red Wing and Wabasha, MN near US 61 is owned by the Mayo Clinic Health System with the daily operations managed by Ebenezer. At any given time, as many as 90 people call the care center their home. The care center is connected to a Mayo clinic and hospital, so residents don't have to leave the building for a clinic appointment or emergency care if needed.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
  • Performs all housekeeping duties consistent with daily assignment sheet.
  • Performs housekeeping duties: vacuums, mops, windows, glass doors, etc.
  • Cleans public areas, resident rooms and restrooms
  • Maintains housekeeping cart and closet and replenishes supplies throughout community as needed
  • Assists with emergency spills and wears protective equipment as required
  • Assists with grounds clean up when requested
  • Promotes a safe environment for staff, residents and visitors
  • Must be able to understand and follow communications related to policies/procedures/safety sheets
  • Other duties such as; room changes, cleaning wheel chairs and assisting with special events
Qualifications:

Required skills:

  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Ability to pay attention to details and have good time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, along with cleaning bodily fluids/waste

Preferred skills:

  • 1 year work experience in cleaning, customer service or similar environment
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
