House Lead:
Position: House Lead / Direct Support Provider

Location: Arden/Arcade area of Sacramento, CA (remote and in-person)

Hours:
● Monday through Saturday: Minimum of an hour per day (in person)
● On call – potential to fill in for direct support staff as needed
● Potential for additional remote work as needed

Pay:
● $800 to $1,100 a month (depending on experience)
● Up to $29 an hour for fill in shifts (depending on experience)

Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year management experience, including managing schedules and money.

Preferred Qualifications:
▷ Experience with expense ledgers for a house and/or budgeting
▷ Experience and competency working with, and caring for, older clients who have a disability, as the client is 66 years old
▷ Live within 15 minutes of the Arden/Arcade area of Sacramento

Required Qualifications:
▷ Experience or ability to track daily hours of multiple workers.
▷ Experience managing client and staff schedules
▷ On call as needed
▷ Potential to meet in person with appointed caregiver to review house protocol
▷ TB test within the past two years

House Lead Job Duties:
Identifying staff to fill in if direct support calls out. If additional staff

is not available to fill the shift, it is required that the house supervisor takes the shift immediately (see additional job duties below)

▷ Manage expense ledgers for the house and/or budget
▷ Track daily hours of multiple workers, and manage client and staff schedules on a timely basis
▷ Oversees that laundry is complete, groceries are stocked, and other essential upkeep of the house is taken care of
▷ Checking medication logs daily and all medications are taken
▷ Checking additional logs – such as temperature, weight, etc.
▷ Communication with appointed caregiver if there are any health issues or behaviors of concern
▷ Support client with grocery shopping (as directed)
▷ Help set up a schedule for the week to ensure jobs needed to keep the household running are completed

Additional Job Duties:
▷ Experience administering medication
▷ Experienced and competent workers who have worked with older clients who have a disability
▷ Capacity to drive client in the front seat
▷ Can support client with time management
▷ Someone that can support with daily living tasks (for example, bathroom)
▷ Someone who can support me with transitions in a kind way (warnings ahead of time, timers are helpful)
▷ Experience with expense ledgers for a house and/or budgeting
▷ Experience or ability to track daily hours of multiple workers.
▷ Able to use daily logs to track and verify medication administration,

BM/urination recording, and weight and temperature recording.
▷ Track food availability in the home and grocery shop if needed.
▷ Able to make sure laundry is done on a timely basis, and bedding is changed each week or as needed
▷ Able to be sure the client has clean clothes throughout the day, and clean towels for bathing.
▷ Able to assign house cleaning chores to keep client's home clean and sanitary, including bathrooms.
▷ Able to communicate with the Conservator any problems on a timely basis for resolution.
▷ ALL workers must be able to understand the needs of assistance throughout the day with all activities of daily living, and the client is at risk of choking on food and falling.

▷ Care or understanding of special needs of the elderly would be helpful as the client is 65 years old.

▷ Ability to lift 25 pounds and/or be active with the client, as he enjoys golf, swimming, etc.

▷ Taking client out to the gym in the afternoons after day program, support while at the gym.

Required certifications or licenses: Current FirstAid and CPR certification

Required Experience, including number of years: At least one year of experience providing direct support (as described in job duties above).
Experience with developmental disabilities strongly preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $800.00 - $1,100.00 per month

Schedule:

  • On call
  • Self-determined schedule

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay
