SALARY INFORMATION: $24.24 Per Hour/Pay Grade J/Job Code GSP031

Job Responsibilities

Provides professional design and implementation of artistic products and services to support DeKalb County Board of Health programs and staff for educational, instructional, and promotional purposes. Coordinates production and utilization of equipment, facilities, and distribution of materials. Possesses and demonstrates knowledge of videography, photography and editing skills. Ability to edit audio and video, to produce compelling content for use on the Board of Health’s social media platforms, website, and other mediums. Ability to plan content and manage all aspects of multiple social media platforms. Possesses excellent communication skills to deliver information. Able to collaborate and receive constructive criticism. Works independently in gathering video and asking pertinent questions during interviews as needed for projects. Ability to provide a portfolio/reel of work. This position is expected to exercise sound professional and strategic judgement.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of professional related experience OR Vocational/Technical degree in graphic arts, applied arts, commercial art, fine arts or a related field from an accredited college AND Two years of professional related experience OR Four years of professional related experience or equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience.

Additional Information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the minimum qualifications, preference will be given to applicants with Two (2) years of video and/or still photography gathering experience required, including shooting exp. and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment. Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis to carry and transport equipment. Must be flexible with schedule, reliable and dependable. Social media experience using scheduling apps such as Hootsuite or similar is strongly preferred.
