Hot End Process Engineer - Float Glass Job at Carlex Glass America, LLC
Key Task:
Facilitate executing continuous improvement in all areas of the Float operation including
o Batching
§ Batch House and batch feeder operations
§ Batch formulation
o Melting
§ Implement adjustments to · Gas distributions · Electric boost levels · Cooler configurations
§ Furnace repair work
§ Troubleshoot included defect and optical quality issues o Forming
§ Implement adjustments to · Reheat setups · Top roll setups · Cooler configurations
§ Troubleshoot surface defect (top tin, bottom tin, bottom deformation) and optical quality issues
o Annealing
§ Implement adjustments to · Heat setups · Cooling fan configurations
§ Troubleshoot lehr breakage and surface quality issues o Supervision
§ May serve as back-up Shift Supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor of Science in engineering
Years of Experience: · 2 years of experience in a Float Hot End production process environment
